August 4, 2015… Day 1.
We set off on our adventure with a prayer & some tears.
There was no set plan, but the plan didn’t matter. We were together, on OUR journey.
Everything else was just icing on the cake.

We saw the most gorgeous places, tasted a lot of delicious food. We sang songs, played games, laughed a lot, cried a little. We held a gator. Visited a plantation. Ate beignets in the French Quarter.
My son said it best, “Most people say adventures like that aren’t real but I lived the adventure”

2,316 miles later, with plenty of road trip memories under our belt, we arrived in Pax River, MD.
… and the best is yet to come.
